Program Objectives: a. To support the social, economic, and psychological reintegration of 100 GAM Former Combatants (including widows and wives of former combatants and their dependants), who are also tsunami survivors b. To improve the capacity of these target groups to reconstruct their lives and livelihoods after the conflict and tsunami through various business and financial skills training, organization, revolving loan funds, technical support and networking. c. To enable the target group (300 people) to take part in peace process in Aceh to restore their right and dignity as human beings; and empower them to struggle for their rights. d. To enable and empower the target group to take part in post tsunami reconstruction and peace building process. Activities include skills training for carpenters, mechanics, and boat operators; farming workshops; training on organizational management; training on human rights, democracy, and advocacy; education for children.
